A woman who was left bleeding in the street with a crushed skull after being mown down by an ISIS maniac in the Nice terror attack has finally meet the mystery man she credits with saving her life.

Adelaide Stratton, 22, was one of hundreds injured during the Bastille Day massacre when a twisted Islamist fanatic used a massive lorry to smash into revellers - killing 86.

But it was the kindness of a stranger who saved the Australian woman's life, after he sat and held her hand and even travelled in the ambulance with her.

A heartwarming video tells Adelaide's story as she recovers from her severe injuries and meets French citizen, Patrick Sergent, who found her on the ground on July 16.

In the footage it is revealed that as the young woman stepped off of a bus to join the Bastille Day celebrations with friend Marcus Anderson, the pair were struck by a truck.

Appearing on Australia's Sunday Night Show , Adelaide states how she remembers regaining consciousness and seeing Patrick - "the man with long hair".

Adelaide said: "I was lying on the ground in pain with what I knew was blood dripping down my face. I didn't know where my friends were.

"I knew he couldn't speak English, because he wasn't telling me what was going on. He was just looking at me and squeezing my hand. He made sure I always had his face to look at."

According to Mamma Mia, the pair were reunited on Sunday during the show.

Adelaide said: "How do you thank someone who saved your life? ... He is the bravest man I've ever met. What kind of person does that?"

Sibling Gang Members Charged With Murder Of Dwyane Wade's Cousin

A pair of brothers released from jail on parole have been charged with fatally shooting Nykea Aldridge, cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade, in Chicago.

Darwin Sorells, 26, and 22-year-old brother Derren, who are both documented gang members, were charged with first-degree murder Sunday over the death of Aldridge, 32, a mother-of-four.

Both are repeat gun offenders, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson confirmed, and both were out on parole at the time of the killing.

Speaking about Darwin, Johnson said he is a six-time weapon offender who was jailed in 2013 for six years for another gun crime but released on parole in February.

We Shared The Money Among The Entire Team - Siasia Clears The Air

Coach of the Nigerian U-23 team that won Bronze in the just concluded Olympic games Samson Siasia has explained how the money given to them by Japanese Plastic surgeon and billionaire Katsuya Takasu was shared.

The doctor had given the team $390,000 to share for winning the bronze medal, Nigeria’s only medal, at the Olympics.

Siasia also criticised the Nigerian Football Federation for their objections to the money gifted to the team saying that the investigations called for by the top dogs in the federation were unnecessary.

“What actually happened is that the man was just curious how a team that was neglected and abandoned could arrive Rio under five hours and defeat the Japanese team that had all they needed and have been put together for over three years, that was his amazement.” Siasia said explaining what transpired.

He continued, “These guys who are saying they want to do all manner of checks, what have they done for us? Do you know that since we returned, nobody from the NFF or Ministry has called us to say that we did well. The president came and just talked and that was it, well it is not the first time he will be talking.

“When players don’t even have $100 dollars in their pocket and you want to come and preach to them.” Siasia said the entire amount of $390,000 was shared equally among all the members of the team including the supporting staff.

“The Japanese benefactor said $200,000 and $190,000 was supposed to be for bronze medal and it was split among the players and officials equally. It is not my personal money and this must be made clear.

“What I got was what every other player of official in the team got about $14,000 dollars each. The man came to Salvador where we played and gave $200,000 as draft to me and $190,000 to Mikel because he cannot write cheque to every member of the team, he made it simpler so that we all can share the money and now we are paying to the individual accounts of the boys.

“So make this issue clear to everybody that has been following it, the money was never meant for me or Mikel alone but for the entire team including the doctors and other backroom staff”.

Bolivian Deputy Interior Minister Kidnapped & Beaten To Death By Striking Miners

Striking miners in Bolivia kidnapped and beat to death the country's deputy government minister after he travelled to the area to mediate in the bitter conflict over mining laws, officials said on Thursday.

Government minister Carlos Romero called it a "cowardly and brutal killing" and asked the miners to hand over the body of deputy minister Rodolfo Illanes.

Earlier, Mr Romero said that Illanes had been kidnapped and possibly tortured, but local media reports that he had been killed by the miners had not been confirmed.

But on Thursday Mr Romero and Reymi Ferreira, defence minister, said that the vice minister of government had been beaten to death by the miners, who are demanding more rights, including the right to associate with private companies.

Illanes had gone to Panduro, a town 80m (130km) south of the La Paz, where the strikers have blockaded a highway since Monday, to open discussions.

Protesters have been demanding more mining concessions, the right to work for private companies, and greater union representation.

Meet The Female Assassin Hired To Take Out Drug Dealers At £330 Per Hit In Philippines

She's the female assassin hired to execute drug dealers on behalf of her government.

Her life may sound like something from a glamorous Hollywood blockbuster but in reality it's anything but.

'Maria' moves from safe house to safe house constantly fearing for her life and worried she won't be allowed to quit a brutal commission which sees her paid £330 per hit.

She is just one of those caught up in the Phillipines' brutal drug war, where controversial President Rodrigo Duterte has come chillingly good on his warning to drug dealers: "Do not destroy my country, because I will kill you."

President Duterte was elected on a promise to get tough on the country's crystal met crisis which has seen it gripped by crime and addiction.

According to police, around 2,000 people have been killed since he took office two months ago.

Maria - not her real name - is now carrying out contract killings as part of a state-sanctioned war on drugs taking the lives of often low-level criminals.

She was first enlisted through her police officer husband and has now killed five people.

She told the BBC: "One time, they needed a woman... my husband tapped me to do the job. When I saw the man I was supposed to kill, I got near him and I shot him."

Maria, from an poverty-stricken neighbourhood in Manila, says she was hired as officials believe she can get closer to her victims without arousing the suspicion a man would.

She now wants to do one last job but fears she has no way out and could be targeted by the families of those she's gunned down.

Racked with guilt, she tries to unburden herself by going to confession but cannot even bring herself to tell the priest what she has done - and just asks for forgiveness instead.

She said: "I feel guilty and it is hard on my nerves. I don't want the families of those I have killed to come after me.

"I do not want them (her children) to come back at us and say that they got to live because we killed for money."

Duterte has granted cops immunity from prosecution despite concerns he has in his bid also legitimised mass murder.

Turkey Suicide Bombing Kills 11 Police Men; 78 Wounded

A suicide truck bombing at a police headquarters in Turkey's largely Kurdish southeast killed at least 11 and wounded dozens today, just two days after Turkey launched an incursion against Islamic State and Kurdish militia fighters in Syria.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said there was no doubt that the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has waged a three-decade insurgency for Kurdish autonomy, was responsible for the attack in Sirnak province, which borders Syria and Iraq.

The provincial governor's office said 11 police officers were killed and 78 people, three of them civilians, wounded.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility though.

Indian Man Forced To Carry Dead Wife's Body For 12km (Photos)

An impoverished man in India carried his wife's body for 12km after the hospital where she died allegedly failed to provide an ambulance to carry the body back to their village.
Dana Majhi's wife Amang, 42, died from tuberculosis in the district hospital in Bhawanipatna town in Orissa state.
Mr Majhi said his village was 60km (37 miles) away and he couldn't afford to hire a vehicle.

The hospital authorities have denied his charge. "The woman was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and died the same night. Her husband took away her body without informing any hospital staff," senior medical official B Brahma said.

Mr Majhi, however, alleged that his wife died on Tuesday night and that he began walking with her body on Wednesday after the hospital staff kept asking him to remove the body.
"I kept pleading with the hospital staff to provide a vehicle to carry my wife's body, but to no avail. Since I am a poor man and could not hire a private vehicle, I had no choice but to carry her body on my shoulder," he said.

Early on Wednesday, he said, he wrapped up the body in cloth and began the long trek to his village in Melghar for the last rites, accompanied by his 12-year-old daughter Chaula.
He had walked for about 12km when some people on the way intervened and an ambulance finally arrived.
The cremation took place on Wednesday evening.

Ogba also criticised the football team for collecting $390,000 donation by a Japanese plastic surgeon, Dr. katsuya Takasu, saying the team did not know the source of the money.

“I don’t think it was nice for our country to accept such money given the happenings around world now. Money is good but it’s not every money that comes your way that you collect. So, I associate myself fully with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation,” he noted.

Presidency Denies Media Reports, Says Buhari Not Seeking Emergency Powers

The Presidency has debunked reports in the media that President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking emergency powers to tackle the nation’s economic challenges. It, however, stated that the economic management team was considering several measures to urgently reform the economy, but is yet to communicate the measures to the President.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday night by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, who added that those measures had also not been passed to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, and the National Assembly.

Reports had stated the President would be seeking emergency powers from the National Assembly to get the economy out of recession, shore up the value of the naira, create more jobs, boost foreign reserves, improve power and revive the manufacturing sector. It added that the decision was based on a proposal from the economic team headed by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo

But reacting to this, Osinbajo’s spokesman said: “The economic management team has indeed been considering several policy options and measures to urgently reform and revitalise the economy. Some of these measures may well require legislative amendments and presidential orders that will enable the executive arm of government move quickly in implementing the economic reform plans.

“As far as I know, this has not been passed on to the president, the Federal Executive Council or the legislative arm of government. So, at this point, there are no further details to share.”
